Jackson County, oh how we've shrunk and renamed??

Check out the www.territorialkansasonline.org website find the original name and boundaries of Jackson County, Kansas. Cool stuff, huh.

Sorry a little busy on this side of the world. Jackson Co., Kansas was once known as Calhoun. It was changed just before statehood to honor President Jackson. Around that same period the county line was moved north to the present day boundary. The old county line was the Kansas river. Thanks for the comments.
